Senior Female Dog - Jack Russell Terrier Border Collie: "Lucia"

 

 

 

Lucia has been with the Guelph Humane Society for quite some time now. This adorable girl was placed in a foster home for time to recover from allergies. Now with preventive care Lucia is back and looking for her forever home. Loyal, affectionate, obedient with lots of love to give and a zest for life. Lucia is great to be around. The only issue is her attitude towards other animals. This is definitely worth dealing with as she is so good in all other ways. She is never destructive around the house and is very good around all people. She rarely barks unless she sees another animal. All of our amazing volunteers and staff have fallen in love with this girl and know you will too! Her foster mother had the following to say about Lucia... Charming quiet companion. Well behaved in the house and would be suitable for apt. living because she never demands to go out. Hardly barks except maybe when there is a knock at the door. She is presently walked 3x per day and when the weather is good she gets excited when I suggest a walk. She is very sensitive to the cold (always has her coat on outside) and so in the winter our walks have been quite brief. She is friendly with visitors but I have not had her around children. She still reacts to other dogs when we are walking. Friendly with all people. No behaviours except like all terriers I would not leave any food on low lying tables. She sleeps a lot in the day and because of her age I make sure she has a comfortable spot or bed to lay on.
